FAQs

  • Counseling often focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, processing past trauma, and addressing clinical concerns. It’s typically conducted by licensed therapists or psychologists.

Coaching, on the other hand, is future-focused and solution-oriented. At Anchored Hope Wellness, we provide faith-based coaching that helps clients navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, strengthen their spiritual life, and move toward healing with clarity and hope. We DO NOT diagnose or treat mental illness, but we do offer biblically grounded support that walks alongside your emotional and spiritual growth and will work hand in hand with your licensed counselor if you would like us to.

  • NO, While we are faith-based and trauma-informed, coaching is NOT a substitute for therapy. However, many clients find that coaching complements their therapy or helps them continue their healing journey once therapy has concluded.

  • No, health insurance does not cover coaching. However, you can check with the administrator of your HSA or FSA and find out if they will reimburse you for your costs. Some will, and some won’t. The ones that do often require you to have a letter from your physician stating the necessity for coaching.

  • Our services are designed for Christian men and women who are struggling with chronic illness, grief, trauma, spiritual disconnection, or identity loss. You don’t have to be perfect in your faith, you just have to be open to God’s healing and willing to take the next step.

  • That’s exactly why Anchored Hope Wellness exists. This is a safe, judgement-free space where we explore your questions, doubts, and pain with honesty and compassion. Healing doesn’t require perfect faith - just a willingness to bring your brokenness to the table.

  • We recommend starting with a complimentary discovery call, where we’ll learn more about your current challenges and explore the options together. Where you currently are in your journey will determine which service we recommend.

  • Each session lasts 60 minutes and includes prayer, discussion, Scripture-based insights, and practical strategies tailored to your goals. Sessions are held via Zoom or phone and always end with a clear takeaway or next step.

  • Coaching is a deeply personal journey. At Anchored Hope Wellness, we prefer to have the consultation call before any decisions are made. This allows our clients to start out on the right path from the beginning of their journey with us. We also like to make sure that we are a good match for each client. Unfortunately, sometimes personalities do clash.
